The School provides all the ingredients for the duration of the course and each student is given well over a 100 recipes for their recipe file.
Our students are practically taught all the recipes they are given.
The student’s uniforms are washed by the School on a daily basis and returned at the end of each day.
The School provides the students with a cooked lunch each day of the course.
The School also pays for the student’s membership fee to the South African Chefs Association.
Equipment
Each student will be required to have their own set of books, Wusthof chef’s knife set, bakery equipment smalls plus four sets of uniforms and a pair of black work shoes. All these items are ordered by the School from our suppliers. The cost of the above is R6500.00 and this amount is due by the 1 December preceding the course year to allow the School time to place and receive the orders.
International Course
The School is affiliated to City & Guilds of London, an internationally recognized organization. All the exams written by the students are set by City & Guilds and are moderated by external moderators. Mid-year exams will take place in June with finals being written in November.
